Did a second graft today. Another Beauty Plum. The host branch was too thick (0.54 inch diameter) to use the grafting tool so I did a classic cleft graft. The scion had a 0.3 inch diameter. Used the Victorinox Swiss Army Grafter Garden Tool instead of the grafting tool that cuts the neat U.

Sprayed with 3 Fluid Ounces per gallon of Pyrethrin mixed with 1 Fluid Ounce per gallon of Neem Oil. Purpose of this is to combat the influx of Glassy Winged Sharpshooters that have suddenly been observed and also to hopefully suppress Peach Borers.

Either it's starting to sap or there's a borer or some other insect in there. No sign of buds or flowers yet.

- All trees in the Northwest orchard.
- Distributed 50 lbs of Tiger 90CR Sulfur pellets.
- Mixed in 1 pints of Link P31 (8-31-5) Nitrogen/Phosphates and two-fifths of a tablespoon of Borax powder to add Boron in around 40 to 50 gallons of water in the gorilla card. There was only 1 pint of Link P31 solution left in the container but the bottom of the container had a bunch of stuff stuck to the bottom that I rinsed out and added so it was probably more like 2 pints.
- Used the shower nozzle on the hose and watered the sulfur and Link P31 through the mulch.
This provides this part of the orchard (Northwest) which is 1,000 square feed with the following:
- 0.5 pounds of Nitrogen
- 2 pounds of Phosphate
- 0.02 pounds of Boron
- The height has changed by -1" over the last 404 days.
- The girth has changed by 1.5" over the last 404 days.

Took some girth measurements today to compare root stock, graft union and graft girths on this tree. Measurements are listed from top down - as you would view them on the tree. This tree is unusual as it's the only one (I think) in my yard where the root stock has a smaller girth than the scion grafted onto it.
- 7.625" - the girth of the scion
- 10.25" - the girth of the graft union
- 6.625" - the girth of the root stock

A strange tree. Lots of gummosis at the base but the tree still seems to be generally healthy. (And completely fruit free.)

Sprayed with Polymer AG Anti-Stress 550. Made 4 gallons at a 2.5% dilution ratio and used the backpack sprayer. That amount perfectly covered the trees listed in this note. I was using a fairly course spray and I'm wondering if this product would perform better with a fine spray setting.

Finally marking this tree as dead today. This extreme heat was too much for this tree this year after killing most of it last year.
